  • life is bad

i was raped by 7 guys at a party because i was drinking. i don't want to tell my mom because she won't believe me. I'm 11 weeks pregnant now and i'm scared. i'm 14 and a freshman in highschool. I told my best friend about what happened. She started acting different around me. Then she started to send mean texts saying that i'm a slut and a 2 faced **********. I can't deal with this right now. I'm tired. I'm doing horrible in school and i just want a break.

    Re: life is bad

    Hello,
Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at the National Runaway Switchboard. We are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will do whatever we can to help you with your situation. We’re very sorry to hear that you are in such a tough spot right now and what you went through surely cannot be easy to deal with. What happened was not in any way your fault, and alcohol does not excuse what happened to you. A lot of scary feelings can come from such a horrible incident and it is different for every individual. If you feel that you need some support from others who can better understand what it is you’re going through you can try calling RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network)at 1-800-656-HOPE; this is also a completely confidential , 24/7 number. You can also visit their website at www. Rainn.org and this may help you to feel more comfortable with any feelings you may be having or if you are uncomfortable calling. There are also statewide numbers for help and support on the website if you would like to get in touch with someone in your area. Of course, don’t forget you can always call us here too.
It can’t be easy to go to your friend and have her treat you differently now, it doesn’t sound like you deserve that either. Is there anyone else besides your mom and your friend that you can talk to? Do you have any other family that you trust and feel that you can turn to? Or any teachers or counselors that you feel you can open up to? How have you been coping with all of this stress lately? This sounds very difficult and it must be weighing heavily on you. Have you thought about reporting this to the police?
You have a lot of options out there and we would really like to help you figure them out. There are many resources available to you in regards to your pregnancy and to what you may be going through right now and we would be glad to talk to you and provide you with those. Again, we will do whatever we can to help you. Please call us any time of the day at 1-800-RUNAWAY so we can together search for options that you are comfortable with.
We sincerely hope you are doing ok with all that you are going through and hope to hear from you soon. Good luck to you.
    Take care,
    NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
