  • I wanna run away

I just feel like I want a new start I haven’t yet told my bf that I’m planning to run away from my home idk where i would go but I would try to figure something out I just hate my school but I want to see my bf and my friends leave me out all the time and. Say they don’t care about my problems and my bf never picks up the phone and everyone at school hates me and thinks I’m a weird person and it’s almost Christmas break so I’ll have to stay home all the time and attend ENDLESS amounts of my sisters basketball games I don’t have a problem with her loving basketball she has loved it scence she was little and I have gotten used to it but when my brother started baseball I have felt like I’ve been letting my family down because I hate sports and made a team but quit and now I feel like a failure and my bf is the only thing that keeps me happy but earlier this week he got in trouble and now he’s in iss and I can’t see him most of the time at school now and it’s a pain to get him to pick up the phone so I can talk to him I don’t know anymore..

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. It sounds like you are planning on running away from home and have not yet told your boyfriend. It also sounds like you are having issues with your friends and with school in general and hating being there. It seems your parents have been putting pressure on you to be interested in sports especially with your siblings being interested in basketball. Just because you have other interests, that does not mean you are a failure and no one should ever make you feel that way. For school, it could be helpful to talk with adults there like a teacher or counselor about the things that are bothering you there. For at home, it could be helpful to talk with your parents about how you are feeling. We are also here to support as best as we can, so if you would like to talk further about this, please call our hotline 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or chat us online at 1800runaway.org. We hope to hear from you soon.
    Be safe,
    NRS
