        Generally speaking, running away isn't considered a crime, and so there aren't necessarily laws around it pertaining solely to youth. In Louisiana, the age of majority is 18, which means that you are legally considered an adult at 18. Leaving before then could be considered a status offense. Legal ramifications could come into play if an adult allows you stay with them before you turn 18, though this may only apply to individuals under the age of 17 in your state.
