    Re: I STILL LOVE HIM

Thank you for reaching out to us at the National Runaway Switchboard. We’re sorry you are having such a difficult time dealing with the loss of this relationship. It's understandable that you would cry at a time like this since it sounds like you have lost contact with someone you care for a lot. Besides crying, what are some other ways you cope? Some people feel that talking to others helps ease the situation. Do you have someone you can open up to? Perhaps a close family member or friend? If these are not an option you are always welcome to call us 24/7 at our hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY. We are anonymous and confidential and are not here to judge you; we are here to listen.

It sounds like you loved him very much and if you had the choice you would still be with him. You mention seeing him this upcoming February; do you think you will still feel the same way at that time? You stated you haven’t seen or heard from him in 6 months; how do you think he is feeling about everything? It must have been hard to be forced to break up and if you would like to discuss the issue further, as we have mentioned above you can call our hotline anytime. Another resource that might be of help is the Love & Relationships section on the Sex, Etc. website. (Sex, etc. is a website for teens by teens and features a variety of topics.)

We hope this helps and encourage you to hang in there.
    Best of luck, NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
