My life with my parents is fine they do no good nor bad to me, my school life sucks, my friends are few and there is this one girl (im a boy) who is a -insert a specific word here-. But the worst thing is the depression, anxiety, and OCD that I have self diagnosed. I am thinking about running away have a plan, and will run through with it when my cast and braces come of. The only way I can think that I won't is if someone convinces me which has yet to happen. I want to start from the bottom and get a new life. My goal here is to get help on how not to, im in middle school.

re: My life feels like it's falling apart
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds like you have been through a lot in the last few years. Depression can be hard to deal with; we’re glad you are being strong and asking for some help. There are a couple of resources you can always use if you are feeling depressed and need someone to talk to. They are the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at www.nationalsuicidepreventionlifeline.org or their number is 1-800-273-8255. We aren’t really here to tell you what you should or should not do, but we can discuss some possible consequences.
You mentioned that you were in middle school. If you leave, or before, you may want to think about how you would survive if you left. Where you would live, how you would get around, medical issues, enrolling in school, etc. A lot of those things are usually decided by your parents/legal guardians. Also, if you leave, most states youth in middle school are still considered minors. So if your family files a runaway report for you, you could be taken back home if you come in contact with the police. The local police non-emergency number is a good place to call if you have specific questions about what will happen if you leave. You can always reach out to us, or any local legal aid resources if you have any other questions.
If you need to, you can always contact us directly at 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). We can talk about any possible options that you are thinking about. Lastly, please note that we offer a live chat via our website at www.1800runaway.org every day from 4:30p to 11:30p CST.
Take care and stay safe,
NRSPlease remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.

re: My life feels like it's falling apart
Hey there again,
We aren't legal experts so we can't say specifically what the laws are in your state. A good place to start is any local legal aid agency in your area. Since we are a national resource, it's hard to keep up with the laws for every state and city.
Best,
