We are glad you reached out to us. It sounds like you are having a difficult time at home and want to run away to live with your boyfriend. In the state of California you are no longer a minor when you turn 18 which means you are not legally bound to staying with your parents.
Although you are no longer a minor, running away is still a big step and it could be helpful to think through what it will mean to leave and move in with your boyfriend before you do so. Because you are 18 you are able to call and get your bank account switched in to your name. There may be other things that your parents will still have control over, like health insurance, phone plan, or school tuition, that may make it hard to easily leave and live with your boyfriend.
Moving in with a partner is a big step and if you have not discussed it with your boyfriend, it could be helpful to do so. If you job is closer to where you live now you may want to think through how you will commute from your boyfriend’s and back.

18, long distance, strict parents
I'm 18 and my boyfriend lives 2 hrs away from me. He works and so do I, however housing is way to expensive in Cali for me to move out on my own. My parents control every aspect of my life, they won't let me drive or go out past 9. Now they won't even let me go see my boyfriend for his birthday. I want to run away and live with him, but they are holding my credit card and bank account hostage, along with all my stuff (I bought myself), and are threatening to destroy both of us if I leave
