Hi so my ex-boyfriend and i were going out for a while and my parents didn't agree with the relationship so i was forced to break up with him. Reason being is because he is 19 and i am 16 but turning 17 in February. We are only 3 years apart and i don't see the big issue with us dating. They will no longer allow me to see him anymore so all we can really do is txt on the phone. I understand that as a parent their going to be worried about their child being sexually active, and the fear of them getting pregnant. But in your opinion, be honest, how would you feel if you child was dating someone who was three years older than them .But anyway for me that wasn't the case with me and my ex at all. We were not at all going to be sexually active until i became an adult or whenever i was ready. He was very kind and respectful towards me and never hurt me. We were talking about getiing back together when i turn 17 if i was able to move out of my house. ive been doing some research and in the state of NJ you must be 18 to move out without perental consent. But there is also something called " Short -term- guardianship" meaning i would be able to move in with someone as long as my parent gives concent. But i know they wont agree. And i wouldn't even want to move in with my boyfriend because it's too soon. I was going to move in with my bestfiend that lives in the same area as he does. And me wanting to move out goes beyond just for my ex. I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I don't feel like im loved at home, i get blamed for EVERYTHING, treated differently than others, I have no freedom, im not aloud to go outside in y own back yard sometimes. i feel like a dog trapped inside a cage please help me.

My whole life I have been in bad toxic relationships, Sexual assault, domestic violence, you name it I've been through it. I have very bad anxiety and depression, I found someone who i truly was happy with and he just leaves one day and has a new girlfriend the next day. I don't have the best relationship with my family. I don't get along with them, I love my friends but I cannot do this anymore. I need to run. I want to run, I feel stuck and I am afraid staying is going to make me more and more miserable. I do not want to be here anymore, it's overwhelming and I feel like it's toxic.
