Me and My Girlfriend

Me and my girlfriend have been going through a tough time lately with out families, we can't take this no more, I'm 20 and she's 18 we've been together a while now and our parents are becoming very controlling and won't accept us being together. It's drove us totally insane and led to a few homeless nights on the streets, we have around £400 saved between us and need to get away as soon as possible, how can we do this and get by even if it's a struggle?

It can be really difficult to be homeless and to spend a night on the street. We’re not sure where you are, but you can check out www.homelessshelterdirectory.org to see if there are places where you can stay around your area. Another good resource to check out is www.hud.gov. They have resources for cheaper apartments and housing.

Sometimes it can be helpful to think of people (friends or other family members) who you might be able to stay with while you figure out how to get a place of your own. It certainly sounds like a stressful time for you both, so it is smart of you to try to put together a plan.
