Hi, thanks for reaching out to us at NRS. It must be incredibly hurtful and frustrating to live in a home where you get blamed for things and told you aren’t normal. You mentioned that your mother said she wanted to leave you. Legally, she is responsible for ensuring that you have a roof over your head and are living with a responsible adult. If you did get kicked out of home without an arrangement made for you to stay with someone else, you have the right to call the police or Child Protective Services to inform them of that to ensure that you either get to return home or somewhere safe. If you are interested in making a report, you can always call Child Help at (1-800) 422-4453 or go to their website at childhelp.org for more information. If you do get kicked out or leave home and are looking for shelter placement in your area instead, you can also call 211. You also mentioned the impact all of this is having on your school performance and seemingly your mental health. Have you ever tried reaching out to a counselor at school to let them know what you’re going through? Often schools have counselors or social workers who are there to support whatever issues are going on that are impacting you and your ability to do well in school. Another option is finding counseling services in your area by calling the SAMHSA Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357). Please know that our hotline is available 24/7 and completely confidential if you want to discuss your situation further, explore options with a trained crisis counselor, and receive resources that are specific to your location and needs. The hotline is: (800) RUNWAY. You do not have to go through this alone. Best of luck! NRS |

I wanna run away.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a very long time it feels as if I can’t escape. I’m 13, my mom is getting out of hand. She thinks everything is my fault and even asked me why wasn’t I normal and said she wanted to leave me, there’s more too. Now I’m starting I hate myself as much as she does, my dad always takes her side so I don’t have much options. I don’t have any family or friends to stay with what do I do? It’s really effecting my school performance and myself
she always calls me a crybaby.Tags: None
