We are so sorry to hear about the horrible situation your daughter and you are in. Thank you, so much, for your bravery in reaching out. Please know we are here to listen and here to help in whatever way we can. You mentioned your daughter doesn’t want to call CPS because she’ll be in trouble. You and your daughter know best what is happening, but it doesn’t seem like your daughter should get in trouble for seeking help. We aren’t here to tell anyone what to do, so if she does not want to call CPS, we respect that. Please know that she is welcome to call us any time, we are 24/7/365. We are a safe place for her to talk (we won’t ask for her name or identifying information), including what might happen if she were to call CPS, and, if she would like, we would be happy to call with her. While it sounds like the calls and reports to CPS haven’t been helpful, it seems good to have at least a “paper trail” and evidence as to the history of abuse. You mentioned your daughter has a history of self-harm. To Write Love on Her Arms is a resource for her to turn to for support (twloha.com). Whether or not at 15 she needs a guardian, and what you are able to do legally (whether there is a warrant, what trouble – if any – you might face if you were to have her live with you or go get her, what your options are) are questions that would probably be best answered by a lawyer. We have a database of resources (including attorneys who are free or low cost) that we can look up depending on what city in Florida you live in.
Again, so sorry to hear about the situation. The strength on your part and your children to endure this far is amazing.

In 2012 I had found out my then 10 year old was being raped repeadlty by her dad's girlfriends so,of course I filed charges and because several bad things had happened there previously I filed for full custudy not dreaming I'd loose,but my kids dad dad has alot of money...the guardian adlitem was yelling at me from the start I think mostly because they were in Indiana and I was in Florida anyway they bullied me into governing him physical custody of the school year,i was to emotional and out of money...since that time its been horrible I finally did get custody of my 17 yr old because he kept calling cps is dad is a drunk who will drink and drive them with them also gets violent,currently my son and his new girlfriends kids moved out and now it's just her...hes a serious narcist and will no longer let her in counseling or anything,shes a rape victim besides being taken from the only place she felt safe...all under the bridge I guess...but now she's trying to run away to get to me I'm really worried about her there she has a history of self harm since being there, my hands are tied I just can't go get her,if she ran away to hear would I have to send her back....mostly this wouldn't be so scary for me but when the guardian adlitem started lying I refused to pay her and she put a civil warrant on me in the national database or id just go see if a judge will rehear...but that scares me to since my ex is lawyer is the family court judge...I'm sure at 15 she no longer needs a guardian...there's also been several cps calls on him recently because he comes home drunk and flips out,but mostly was scares me is he drinks and drives alot had to slam 6 beers to take my daughter to the airport to see me for the summer is there any help for her,shes afraid to call cps because if they don't do anything she's in big trouble
