I live with my parents but im 25 with two kids. Currently i do not have a job and i cant count on my the father of my kids he has a weird way of care for his kids. My parents are wonderful but things are getting to a point where i cant deal with it they wont let me raise my children my son is rebellious with me already because they yell at me to leave him alone when he does something wrong or because i send him to go to bed so they have taken away my authority as a parent pretty much i want to leave before my daughter gets any older and goes through the same thing. My situation is i have no money im looking for work but im getting hopeless i want to get my kids out to give them a healthy living that i knowni can do but they just want to spoil my kids and then tell me my son has problems and no way he does not hes just spoiled.what can i do? I know what i can do they just dont let me its too much tension i dont like coming here but because my kids need to sleep somewhere i want my kids to be raised correctly jot by their raising they dont know how to raise children help me

Complicated living situation looking for peace

    Hello,
Thanks for contacting the National Runaway Safeline.
It sounds like it has been an emotional strain on you living with your parents.
We understand that it has been pretty frustrating for you conflicting with them over raising your children. It sounds like you have been looking for work and that you get little help from their father. That’s tough.
On one hand your parents are providing some support by letting you and the children stay with them but it has not been easy for you being there.

We are not sure what it is you would like NRS to assist you with. As you may or may not know we are a 24hr crisis line whose focus is on runaway and homeless youth up to 21yrs of age . You might consider examining what it is you would like help with and contacting United Way services for information, be it housing, employment etc. in your area. To reach United Way you may need to dial 2-1-1 or 3-1-1. You could also look them up online for your city and state.
    Does that make sense?

We hope that your situation changes for the better and once again we appreciate you reaching out to NRS.

    Take Care,
    NRS
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
