We have been having issues with my step daughter. We currently have Unruly charges pressed against here in Franklin county Ohio. Last night there was a giant blow up and her father told her to go take a walk, she never came back home. He has sneak out of the house before but came home after a few hours and we called the police when we found out she left and when she came home that night. This past weekend she shattered her Dad's windshield due to another fight. She she no wrong in what she does and blames it all on her dad and I because we wont let her run around and do whatever she wants. My husband doesn't seem to want to file a a missing persons report on her. I'm unsure what to due especially with her having a court date in 2 weeks.

Hello and thanks for reaching out on our forum. We are sorry to hear about the issues you and your husband have been having with your stepdaughter. You mentioned unruly charges and an upcoming court date so it sounds like your stepdaughter may already be on probation. If this is the case, there may be additional consequences to her running away beyond just being a status offense beyond just being a status offense. We recognize that sometimes the courts charge fees when a minor violates their probation, so if that is the case it is understandable for your husband to not seem to want to file a missing person’s report on your stepdaughter.
At the same time, many parents decide to file their missing juvenile child as a way to protect them against neglect. Please know we are non-directive here and we are not here to judge. Instead we are available to listen and provide support to the best of our ability. Another place you and your husband might find support is through Huckleberry House. They offer several different programs including a family support program, emergency youth shelter, and youth outreach program. You are welcome to find out more about them on their website, http://huckhouse.org/.
We invite you, your husband, and anyone else in your family (including your stepdaughter) to reach out to us directly at any point if you would like to continue talking about your stepdaughter and possible options. Hopefully this helps and we wish you all the best of luck!
