Unsure, but distraught...

My daughter vanished almost 14 months ago...without a trace, zero digital footprint, etc. I don't know or understand what happened to her, 250 tips later, the police seem no closer to finding her, how do I know if she ran or has something more nefarious happened to her??? Just looking for answers, it seems so out of character of her...there isn't anything in the world I wouldn't do for her, or just to know any little info... I guess my question is do some children just choose to never connect???

It is understandable to be concerned with some many uncertainties. It can unfortunately be difficult to know what happened and whether it is a runaway or a missing child situation. Either way, there is support out there. You might find it helpful to reach out to Team Hope, a group of volunteers who provide peer and emotional support to families with missing children. They might have a better understanding of how to answer your question in regards to if some children just choose to never connect.
