is there a shelter that i can stay at in los angeles that wont make me contact my parents and let me stay there in the shelter? im 16

You would like to know if there are shelters in the Los Angeles area that does not require parental conscent. Is that right? Well shelters for Runaway And homeless youth will most likely need to contact a parent, gaurdian or a Child Protective Service Agency within 24hrs of a youth staying in their facility. It may differ from agency to agency so it may be best to speak with individual shelters about their criteria. By calling our 1-800-Runaway 24hr Crisis hotline we may be able to contact shelters in your area and by conference call let you inquire about their criteria. You did not give much detail about your reasons for needing this information which is okay. We would just like you to know we are available to listen and discuss possible options concerning your situation. We are non- judgemental and confidential.
