    Hi,

Thank you for contacting NRS for help. Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your parents, but you're very brave to express your feelings. Upon checking, the legal process of emancipation for youth in the state of Maine is 16 years old. It will be useful to contact the Maine State Legislature at ( 800)301-3178 or www.legislature.maine.org and find information relating to the Emancipation of Teenagers. If NRS can provide more help and answer any other questions you have, please reach out to NRS.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
