Ive done some research and have seen that police cannot force me to go back home unless i am in danger, and I already have a place to stay, but i am worried that the owner of the home may be in trouble if the police come after me, I just want to make sure that i would not be forced back home and that who i pay rent to would not be in trouble.

Police might not force you back home if you are not in danger, but if your parents tried to retrieve you and the family you were with continued to keep you there, they could be charged with a misdemeanor called harboring a runaway, which can sometimes result in a fine or in very rare cases, jail time.
