    Hello There,
Thank you for reaching out to The National Runaway Safeline, we are here to help and here to listen. It sounds like you have great questions and we hope that we can help.
We are not legal experts but we do have some information on running away. Typically, in most states once you turn 18 you are legally allowed to leave home without permission. So if you were to runaway and not get caught until 18 you most likely would not have any legal consequences. To find out the best answer it may be best to call your local police department and ask them if there would be any legal consequences.
We hope that this information will be helpful to you in your situation. If you have any other questions or would like to explore more options, please give us a call or chat with us. We are available 24/7 to listen and to provide support. Best of luck!
