I’m 18 years old, and me and my moms relationship is extremely rocky. I want to live with my father, can my mom legally tell me I can’t live with him ?

    Hey there,

In most states, you are considered an adult when you turn 18. This means you should be able to decide who you live with no matter what a parent or guardian says. We are not legal experts. So you can contact legal services or the local nonemergency police number in your area to ask them specifically the laws in your area and what your rights are in your situation.
We hope this helps. Please reach out if we can offer any further support.

    Be safe,
    NRS
