I'm 15 and I was adopted by my grandparents years ago. I hate living here, they make me miserable. I'm a straight a student, i don't do anything bad, yet I constantly get yelled at. I'm not allowed to go off of my street. I'm yelled at at home. Could I move to my other grandparents house without legal consequence? I live in PA, would I or my other grandparents get in trouble? I'm afraid if I moved to their house, I may be forced to come home and have to face my grandparent's anger. Or my other grandparents may be in trouble. Please let me know, I will wait until I'm 16 if necessary.

Thanks for reaching out to NRS, it seems like you are going through a lot with your grandparents since they became your guardians and feel like you are being mistreated by them. They shouldn’t be raising their voices and keeping you trapped like that.
If you were to leave for your other grandparent’s then your guardians could file a runaway report on you. This would mean police would bring you back home if they find you. There is a chance that the grand parent’s you go to could face ‘harboring a runaway’ charges. That is usually up to the police if they want to file those charges.
