Hello and thanks for reaching out on our forum. It sounds like you're planning to run away on your 17th birthday and are wondering if the police will look for you. We are not legal experts; however, we do recognize that some states such as Texas view 17 as more of a gray area than others. For example, your local law enforcement may take a runaway/missing juvenile report, but do not always actively search for older youth. Your local police or sheriff's department may be able to give you more information on how they handle 17 year-old runaways.
