  • 14 & pregnant?

I just recently found out that
I'm pregnant by my boyfriend of
    2 years and I'll be 15 in just a
Few short months. My parents are
Well not actually parents to me
About two years I had lived with
My mom and she decides to give me away for
Her boyfriend from there I got sent away
Again then once more. I never
Did anything the problem was that
I'm so much like my dad that no one
Wanted to handle me I guess.recently
I had left and went to the father
Of my child's house and my mom reported
Me as a runaway. When I got home the
Abuse started once more. My dad is
A pretty big guy.much known for
Dealing drugs and my mom for her
Stupid for staying in an abusive
    Relationship with an illegal immigrant
Yet every time the cops are called
No matters are taken. They act
As if it was nothing. I can't be here anymore.
I can't take it. It scares me not
Knowing what's going to come next.
I'm worried for the safety of my child. I there
And legal actions that can be taken?

    Re: 14 & pregnant?

Thank you, so much, for reaching out. It is horrible that your mother is physically abusive. No one deserves to be hurt – especially by someone who of anyone in the world should be the one to love and care for you – a parent. Your situation sounds truly horrible. It is amazing, though, the strength and intelligence you clearly possess. It is smart to know you can no longer cope with the abuse (nor should you).

Sometimes filing an abuse report (or two or three if you have already and nothing came of it – which is unfortunately sometimes the case), is proof, evidence and creates a paper trail showing the history of the abusive home. If you are interested in filing an abuse report, you are welcome to call us and we could be on the phone and alongside you during the process of filing, or we can provide you the number if you are interested in filing on your own.

It is understandable to be scared. Not knowing what comes next is definitely a frightening prospect. You mentioned being concerned for the safety of your child. We have a database of resources regarding pregnancy if you would be interested in any of those.

You are clearly very strong to be able to survive your situation thus far and for reaching out to explore your options. Please feel free to email/chat or call if you are interested in discussing your situation further, exploring options and establishing a plan. We are here to listen and here to help.

    All the best, NRS
