    Re: i ran away

Thanks for contacting us here at NRS. We are sorry that you are in this situaition. Being under 18 and running away is not a crime. It is referred to as a status offense which means that since you are still considered a minor, it is something that you are not allowed to do ecause you do not have your parent's permission. If you were found by the police they would simply pick you up and return you back to your parents or guardian. If the police are indeed leaving messages on your phone, that is a different story. It could mean that your parents have contacted the police and filed a pickup order on you that will prompt them to drop you off at a juvenile facility and have you detained there. Unfortunately, we can not tell you for sure what exactly will happen when you return home. If you would like to contact us here at NRS you can surely do so. We are confidential, 24 hours and can be reached at 1-800-RUNAWAY. Until then, good luck with things.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
