Hello,
Thank you for writing to us here at the National Runaway Safeline.
We understand it takes great courage to reach out, and we appreciate you sharing a little bit about what’s going on. To get information on getting duplicate birth certificate and social security card you might consider searching on line by typing birth certificate duplicate and then the same for Social Security administration. It should detail what is needed to replace those documents.
We want you to know that we are here as support to help you through this challenging time. We can best help by phone or chat as NRS is unable to respond more than twice by email or bulletin for assistance. If you would like to talk more in detail about your situation, please call or chat soon.
Our contact information is 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929); www.1800runaway.org (click on the chat button).
If you are at risk of any danger or feeling unsafe, we encourage you to reach out to or seek emergency assistance immediately.
Take care,
NRS

What paperwork should you bring if you run away?
Hi... runaway to be here. When I run away, how important is my birth certificate and social security card? I have no idea where either are and I leave tomorrow. Are they easy to obtain? I’m pretty sure I’ll need one later on and I’d love to spare myself the future call of asking for it, please spare the don’t run away stuff I’m confident I know what I want.Last edited by ccsmod4; 02-14-2020, 12:56 AM.Tags: None
