Is there a legal limit to grounding?

I know that it is legal for my parent to ground me but I was wondering if theirs a legal limit. I constantly get yelled at and screamed at I haven't had a real conversation with my mom in years I go home and as soon as I walk in the door I get yelled at she has once grounded me for almost a full year and I just got out of that 2 weeks ago but she has just recently grounded me again with promises of a even longer time
