Can I legally move out at 18?

I turn 18 in 9 months and I'm counting down the days until I do. I live in the state of Arizona and the age of majority is 18. Can I legally move out when I do turn 18? My mother doesn't want me to leave the house and keeps stating that I can't legally move out until I graduate high school. I think she's lying to keep me stuck in the house but I'm not sure and I can't find answers myself. I need to leave for the sake of my mental and physical health but I'm worried that I may get in trouble for it if I do. Please help me get some answers.

We are not legal experts, but generally speaking once you reach the age of majority (18 years old) you have the legal freedom to choose where you live. Even if you have not yet graduated from high school, you are considered a legal adult at this age and you can leave home without parental consent.

If you choose to leave without permission BEFORE you turn 18 then your mom can report you as a runaway. Running away is not illegal, but your mom can have police return you home.
