Re: Can I Get My Girlfriend When She Turns 18
Hi there,
Thank you for writing to us here at the National Runaway Safeline (NRS). It sounds like you are wondering about a plan for you and your girlfriend to be together when she turns 18. We are not legal experts, but generally age 18 is the age that someone can leave home. From what you shared it seems you both would be legally considered an adult and would not be in trouble unless of course age of majority is different in your state and depending on the circumstances you and your girlfriend are in. If you would like to talk more about your situation or needed information and referrals, we’re here to help. Please call or chat with us soon.
Best,
NRS

Can I Get My Girlfriend When She Turns 18
My girlfriend's parents have moved away and clearly do not want my girlfriend and me to be together. We both love each other and want to be with each other. She is currently living in Minnesota and I am living in Wisconsin. When she turns 18 I plan on going to get her, then coming back to Wisconsin with her(By the time she is 18 I will be 19). We are going to live in Wisconsin together until we figure out what we want to do. Is that legal? Can I do this, or will I get put in jail or something?Tags: None
