17 and homeless

Hi,
I got kicked out of my father's and my mother and I don't get along because of verbal and physical abuse, so now I am living with a friend and I'm told that I'm a homeless youth. I have no idea what to do to get back in school, I have a job but I know that won't last very long due to me not having transportation and the fact that I may be on the streets in two months. I just really need some answers and help. What do I do?
