Re: Going on the run before court

Hello and thanks for reaching out on our forum. It sounds like you’ve got a lot going on between pending charges and a move to Texas. We aren’t legal experts; however, missing a court date may come with consequences. One thing you might be able to do is reach out to a probation officer or other worker to see about getting your case transferred over to Texas. If you’d like legal aid referrals, we can try finding some for you if you share your city/state. Hopefully this helps a little and feel free to try out our Live Chat (instant messaging) starting today at 4:30pm CST. Best of luck!

Going on the run before court

Hi.. So, I'm a 15 year old boy going through several charges, all of which are marijuana possession & paraphernalia, tobacco, and misorderly conduct, all of which are two Misdemeanor class A's and two Misdemeanor class B. My family is moving to Texas, and we're moving SOON. It'll be before my court date that we move, and my dad wanted to know if it had the potential to affect me, or if it would be a warrant for his arrest. Could that raise the class A's to a felony?
