Hi, my birthday is on March 20th I turn 18 that day. I have not yet graduated. My mom will NOT let me move out.theres 7 people living in a household currently my mom is financially very unstable she has to move into a one bedroom because that's all that she can afford . Me and my mom do not get along. I've been friends w this girl for 4years, me and her family are VERY close and said I can move in because they know my situation. Can I move out when I'm 18 and legally get my information such as my birth certificate SSC and everything else if I call the cops. Can she force me to come back home ?

Leaving home can be hard in many cases, and you might need to think about where you might stay, how you might pay for rent, food, and other living expenses. It sounds like you have a place where you might be able to stay at. But it can be helpful to think about other options in case things don’t work out with your friend. You also might want to think about if you have any medical expenses which might be covered under your mother’s insurance and how your access to this care might get effected if you were to leave home.
You asked about the legality of running away. While we are not legal experts here but in most cases if you are to leave home under the age of 18 you can be brought back home if your legal guardian files a police report and whoever you are staying with could be charged with harboring a runaway and could get in legal trouble. In most cases if you are 18 you are considered an adult and you can make your own decisions as to where you want to live.
