Attending School

Hello,

So recently you guys told me about a way to attend school even though I'm a runaway. Something about the McKinney Vento act or something. I want to do this and I contacted the liaison. Before I go, I just want to know. Do I have to give my real name and stuff. I'm pretty sure my parents filed a report so I don't want to go back. Since they don't need birth certificates and school records, how would they know Im not the person they say I am.

We are not legal experts here and we don’t necessarily know the rules and regulations of how every school district handles youth who are under the McKinny Vento Act. The best way to find out is by reaching out to the school district and asking these specific questions.
