Unsure about what to do education wise

Hello, I am a 17 year old female and I'm completely unsure about my education.

I want to drop out and get my GED that way I can move to Louisiana ASAP (I reside in Michigan currently). My parents do not know that I am moving and would agree with the plan, therefore I cannot get them to sign off on me dropping out. I was wondering what I could do? If I simply move to Louisiana, what problems would I face legally? Is there anything I can do to get around this problem? I was hoping (though I realize this isn't how it works) if I move to Louisiana it'll already count as me dropping out basically. I could always stay and graduate, but my situation is becoming more and more infuriating, to say the least. Any advice is appreciated but I just really wanna know, if I can get away with leaving school early w/o parental consent, or emancipation.

You could consider waiting until you are finished with school, before dropping out that may be the easiest option for you. If you were to leave, running away is not a criminal offense it is a status offense. In most cases that we see if you are 17, usually the police do not pursue runaway reports. So in other words you could go to Louisiana, and possibly get your GED when you turn 18. We are sorry you are going through a tough time.
