re: 16 hates parents and home no idea what to do

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out today and sharing your story with us. It sounds like you’re in a pretty serious situation and that you’re worried about your safety. You don’t deserve to be in an unsafe situation or to be neglected. You deserve a safe place to life where you are safe and valued.

It seems like you are worried about your immediate safety. If you need to, remember you can always call the police at 911. If you don’t feel safe calling the police, getting in contact with a family member or a friend who could come over to calm the situation down might be a good next step for you. If you feel like you need to get out of the house for a little bit, you can take a look at www.nationalsafeplace.org to see if there is a safe place near to you where you can go and stay for a night.

It’s smart of you to reach out to get some guidance and figure out how to move forward. It makes sense that you want to be emancipated and get out of the house where you are being neglected. Getting emancipated means that you would be able to prove to the courts that you are able to financially care for yourself. If you don’t have a job right now, then it would be very difficult to get emancipated. This is just some information for you about emancipation.
