Runaway question

Thanks for reaching out. We hope we can help in what appears to be a difficult time in your life. We aren't the school system, so we're not 100% sure, but we don't believe that if you run away from home that your school would put your grades on hold. You may have to make up for any classes that you missed too much of to receive a grade in when you return to school. You may want to see if your school offers free tutoring services, either with an instructor or with fellow classmates. This might help raise your grades in a more sustainable way than running away and restarting the semester might.

I'm sixteen and considering running away from home, largely because my grades are catastrophically bad. I might run, but would my grades worsen once I'm reported missing, or would that be put on hold or something?
