I was kicked out my mom house

I left my mom house about a day ago because she kicked me out and I left to live with my dad who lives in a different state, I grabbed all my stuff and I'm currently on the last plane to get to him but I'm 17 could I emancipate ?

Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear that your mom kicked you out. It sounds like there may be an option to live with your dad but emancipation can sometimes be tricky. We are not legal experts but can speak generally and say that it depends on the state that you live in and also the situation that you are in. Usually emancipation exists in certain states but not in others and to be emancipated you must go through a judge who can attest to the fact that you are able to support yourself and live independently.
