    Re: going going gone!

We’re sorry to hear that things aren’t going to work out with your dad. It sounds like you’re still planning on leaving, but you don’t have a plan to stay safe. How do you know you’re pregnant? If you found out you weren’t, would that make a difference? If you want to make sure you’re actually pregnant before leaving, you can give Planned Parenthood a call. Their number, 1-800-230-7526, will connect you to your local PP agency. They would likely be able to give you a pregnancy test to ensure you are in fact pregnant.

As you’re well aware by now, there are a lot of things to think about when making the decision to runaway. Where will you stay? How will you eat? Where will you get money to survive? What about your education? Assuming you are pregnant, how will you get health care during the pregnancy? Where will you deliver the baby? Will you be able to provide for the baby-financially, medically, etc? How will you stay safe? We’re sure you’ve been thinking about all these things since you’ve been considering leaving for a while. Unfortunately, we can’t give you answers or “help” you runaway, we’re more of a sounding board to talk about what’s going on, different options, the reality of your plan, etc. We’re never going to tell anyone to runaway or not to runaway though. In the end it’s your decision. We just want to make sure that you have all the information you need and have explored all the different options. But in the end, your safety is the most important thing to us.

Maybe it would be helpful if we were able to have a conversation via the phone. It may make the process of sharing information easier for both of us. If you’re willing and able, give us a call anytime. Remember we’re here 24/7. Anyone that answers the phone can talk to you and try to help you figure out what your options are.
