    re: Guardianship

    Hey there,

Thank you for being able to reach out to us! We’re glad that we are a resource to think of in this time of crisis. We want you to know that we are here to listen and to help in the best way that we can.

We want to start off by letting you know that we are not legal experts here, meaning that we are only able to speak generally about certain situations. In most states, when you are 18, you are considered an adult, which means that you are able to decide where you want to live. As we mentioned, we are not legal experts here, which means that we would encourage you to reach out to your local police department and ask what the legal age would be in your county.

We hope that we were able to give you some information. If contacting your local police department makes you nervous, please feel free to reach out to us and we would be able to call out for you. We wish you the best of luck in whatever it is you decide to do and hope to hear from you soon.

    Stay strong,

Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
