RE: running away out of state

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you are in a tough situation right now. You said your boyfriend is running away across state lines and coming to your house next week. That puts you in a difficult position. If your boyfriend is under 18, his mom can call the police on you, and you could risk criminal charges for harboring a runaway. It sounds like the two of you are planning to leave together after that. We are here to help and support you in any way that we can. Do you have a plan for where you will go and how you will survive? We can help you talk through your plans to help you stay safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon, and wish you the best of luck.
Please remember you can reach us directly by calling our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) or through our Live Chat.
