It is unfortunate to hear that you have had no contact with your mother, but it is still important the same that you at least have had contact with someone in your family, and in this case your older sister. It seems as if you are really concerned about a situation and are trying to get an answer for a very specific question about "runaway warrants". First of all, let us inform you that you became of legal age on your eighteenth birthday. In that respect, you are not considered a runaway any longer. As far as we know, a runaway warrant is treated as simarly to an actual runaway report. This means that it is true that it should become void or expire once the youth has turned eighteen. At this point, it is our understanding that no lawyer is necessary to have you freed of such charges. To reassure you or to double check, it is possible that you may annonymously contact the local police department in the place the actual warrant was issued to aks what exactly may happen in that certain instance.
