16 years old and want to runaway

im 16 years old and thinking of running away. My only issue would be if school. I have a place to stay that my mom doesn't know about. The only question I really have is if I would still be able to go to school. My school is out of town and if she filed a runaway report would they be able to take me from school? Or if she went to my school would she be able to take me?

It sounds like you are planning on running away but are concerned about the police being able to pick you up when you go to school. This is a good question to have. While we are not legal experts we can only speculate as to what could happen if you left home. To our knowledge yes, it is possible for the police to pick you up if you are attending school while on the runaway status. As mentioned this is only speculation. If you would like definitive answers you could try contacting your local non-emergency police to see if they say the same thing.
