16 and want to run away with charges.

Im 16 and I live in a group home. I was wondering if I did run away if id still be able to go to school. If I ran away id have a warrant and no parent/gaurdian to sign me up for school. Id have a place to stay but idk if id be able to Finnish out my schooling.

At 16, if you run away from your group home, law enforcement may become involved in a search for you. If you are found by police, they may force you to return to your group home. If you are reported as a runaway, you may find it difficult to sign yourself up for school. Youth who are homeless are guaranteed a right to a public education, however it could be difficult to enroll yourself at school without them at least trying to contact your legal guardian.
