I know that you guys say you're not legal experts, but how long does the adoption process usually take?

I have a friend who's mom is offering me to live with them, while she has CPS deal with my parents for what they did.

If she wants to adopt me, how long would that take to go through?

She's also planning to move back to her country and I want to go with her. Would that intervene with anything?
