Got in an argument with 15 year old daughter. She would not get in the car so I told her to leave if she wasn't going to listen to me. Can I be legally liable for anything? I have reported her as a runaway, but is she really a runaway if I told her to go?

Re: Legal question
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us. These legal things can be confusing when involving a youth. Not completely sure if you can be held liable for telling her to go because you already filed a runaway report. She is still a runaway if she is under 18 and a report was filed with the police department. If you wish to file a national report, please contact the National Center for Missing Children at 1800.843.5678
Best of luck,
