    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us at the National Runaway Safeline. We are so sorry that things have been difficult for you at home. You do deserve to be in a loving and supportive environment.

If you are at risk of any danger or feeling unsafe at any time, we encourage you to reach out to 911 or seek emergency assistance immediately. You may also be able to report any mistreatment to Child Protective Services. Child Help USA 1-800-422-4453 www.childhelp.org. Child Help is an organization that helps protect minors from being harmed but they may also be a good place to explore options for staying with another family member or someone you trust as far as transferring custody.

We’re not legal experts here so it is hard to say what your legal rights would be in this case. We could offer some referrals to some legal services but we would need to know your city and state. Please consider giving us a call at 1-800-RUNAWAY or talking with us through our chat option at 1800runaway.org.

    Take care,
    NRS

I just want to move back

I talked to my dad in January about moving back in with my mom because he just gets annoying because he acts like he works all the time and he doesn't and he forces religion on me 24/7. He never gave me a straight answer but he did say something about its probably not happening. There are no court orders and my mom has secondary custody. I need help on what to say to my dad and how to start the conversation. Im 13 and i want to leave here. My mom lives in texas and my fad lives in louisiana.
