I'm about to be 16 if I run away and check in to a homeless shelter or shelter for women and kids of some sort if they manage to find me will I be brought back home? And what legal punishments might I undertake if found ? Besides a shelter where can I go or work at ?

The intake process for each shelter varies so we would encourage you to give each shelter a call before you arrive to see if they have an open bed.

If you were to leave your home without permission, your legal guardian would have the right to file a run away report. Running away is a status offense and the legal repercussions may include community.
