    re: ranaway

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us and it sounds like you’re really aware that you don’t want to leave your parents which is a great thing to acknowledge. Sometimes it’s hard to look at the things that are holding us back but it’s great that you can see that your parents are a big part of your life.

You also mentioned that you want to get away from your problems so that it’s easier. It’s possible that this may be a good way to escape your problems and can you think of other ways to deal with problems? It could be something as simple as just taking a break from everything to just hang out in your room or talking to someone about what you’re feeling overwhelmed by such as a teacher, trusted friend or parent.

If you do decide to leave it’s important to stay safe. Feel free to check out nationalsafeplace.org on more information for this or you can give us a call to get more resources and shelters or just to talk about what’s going on. We are here 24/7 at 1800-RUNAWAY or from 4:30-11:30 PM at www.1800runaway.org.

Best of Luck and feel free to talk at anytime!
