    Can she still work ?

    Hey,

It's really great of you to be calling on your friend's behalf. They're lucky to have someone like you looking out for them.

It sounds like if your friend is a ward of the state and they're not 18 yet, the agency, shelter or home might be required to make a runaway report if she runs away. We aren't too sure what that would mean about getting a job. Some businesses look into those reports and some don't. Do you think there's something else your friend can do until she turns 18?

If you or your friend want to continue to explore the situation, please call us at 1800-RUNAWAY (786-2929). We're anonymous, confidential and available 24/7. We're here to listen, here to help.

    Best,
    NRS
