18 and still tied down

I'm 18 years old, and have less than 2 weeks left of high school. Every time I try and go do something over night with my boyfriend or friends without asking my mother for permission, she threatens to call the cops on me saying that " as long as I'm still in high school and living with her I still have to listen to everything she says or the cops will arrest me and bring me home." Is this legal or do I have the right to leave the house when I want to at age 18?

So, a runaway report cannot be filed by your parents nor can anyone be forced to return home by the police for simply leaving the house.
