I'm pretty independent and mature for my age and can make smart desicions. I know what I want for my life and to be under the same roof as my family is not it. They provide a roof over my head and food on my plate, I am grateful and blessed for that, but their words and actions kill me. They are extremely rude. They don't understand me. I am their constant personal punching bag. They want to move to somewhere where I know will NOT at all be better for me. For them it will be. My happiness is here, and so is everyone who TRULY cares about me. Also the one person who means most to me, my boyfriend/fiancé. Yes, typical, the runaway with the boyfriend thing. That is a HUGE reason why I want to stay, yes. I want to stay because of more reasons too. And one of the biggest reasons is I do not want to live with my parents. They say they want me out of their life anyway. I am also the reason for their marriage problems and family problems. We are all sick of each other and I want to get away. It will only get worse. Looking at long term, as well as short term, my life will be so much better here. As well as away from them. I would like to be informed more about emancipation. I know it would be extremely difficult to fend for myself at 15, almost 16, but I know I would be able to do it. My life would be happier and I wouldn't be on the verge of running away or commuting suicide. I have many reasons not to die, though. Everyone does. I have a lot of hope that I can get away from my family. I just want to be on my own because for one, I know I can do it. And for two, I know that it would be hard but my life would be SO much better. I could be with the one person who cares about me. I truly want to get away, I know a little about emancipation, but I would like to know more. Or other options. I don't want to be wild and just run away with nowhere to hide or go, I want to be smart about it. And I want to grow up with a good education as well as a happy home life. The only way that is going to happen is if I am able to live on my own and be responsible and truly happy.

Re: I need help. PLEASE
Hello there,
It sounds like you've got a lot going on and we're glad you decided to reach out for help. It seems like you are pretty set on emancipation. We are not legal experts, but do have basic information on emancipation. If your state offers emancipation, the general requirements are 1. you are at least 15-16 years of age 2. you are living separate/apart from your parent(s)/guardian(s) with their acquiescence 3. you have a stable and legal source of income 4. you are in school/have a GED and 5. you have safe/secure living arrangements. The next step is usually going to your local family court with your parent(s)/guardian(s) and go before a judge. It would be up to that judge to grant you emancipation or not. Please keep in mind if we know your state we can offer more information.
In addition to running away, you also mentioned you are on the verge of committing suicide. We want you to know there is support out there if you are having thoughts or suicide.
