14 yr old runaway from TX

I ran away from my moms house and I want to live with my dad, hes in another state though and I don't know if I go to him if hed get into trouble by going to him. im afraid to go home because of what my mom would do to me. someone please help );

You say that you ran away from your mom's house, are you in a safe place right now? If not, we can try to help you find a safe place or you can to go the website www.nationalsafeplace.org. You mentioned that you are worried about returning home because of what your mom may do. If you feel you are unsafe or in danger of being hurt or abused in any way you do have the right to report that abuse or tell someone what is going on. That is something we can also help you with if you would like.

If you went to live with your dad and if he does not have legal custody of you, there is a chance that he could get into trouble or that you would be returned to your mom if she is the one who has legal custody of you. We are not legal experts here though so we cannot say for sure what would happen. All of this is probably dependent on the custody agreement between your mom and dad.
