17 run out of state until 18th birthday

Alright so I cant stand living at home with my parents anymore, they put me on lockdown and have been treating me badly. Anyways Im 17 right now and I turn 18 in about a half year. Ive thought about running away to a different state for the next half year and then returning to the area after my birthday. I know some good people who are also willing to help me if I were to do this so I would not have to really worry about danger with strangers or not having food or anything like that. However I just want to find out:

A: How much trouble could they get in if I got caught? I know people can get charged for aiding a runaway and especially helping them cross state lines.

B:How much trouble could I get in if I got caught in a different state? would I risk getting probation or placed under house arrest?

C: If I were to get away without getting caught would I be able to return after turning 18 without having to worry about any legal issues for me or the people that would help me?

(btw I live in NY State right now, idk if that makes a difference)

In most states, running away is what is called a ‘status’ offence as opposed to a criminal offence. This means that if you are reported as a runaway, the police might make you return home if they find you, but you will probably not be charged with a crime. However, harboring a runaway is a criminal offence, which means if someone helps you cross state lines and hides you from your legal guardians, they could possibly be charged with a crime. This depends on a number of factors and it is not possible to be sure what will happen.
